I'm mostly by myself when it comes to setting the sag on my bike so i was wondering, if the front tire is in a bike shoe on my trailer, can i still get an accurate sag measurement?(or accurate enough)
I see no reason why not. The "Bike Shoes" I have seen, simply grab the front wheel and not the bike/bars. The rest of the bike and the suspension is free to move.
Try lifting the rear with the frt. brake on. The bike doesn't want to settle right. Same thing would happen with a bike shoe. You could probably set it close but don't think you could get it right. A few mm's off can make quite a differance,
Get 2 buddies and set it correctly without the bike shoe and then measure it using the bike shoe. If they match (or not) you'll have your answer. Nothing beats a little experimentation.
