can you blow your front shock seals by........???

can you blow your front shock seals by tying down you bike to tight? if so how can i prevent this?

Fork seals don't blow. I notice a lot of people say they blew a fork seal, like it could not handle some sort of pressure. In reality they only leak when there is dirt stuck on the sealing lip or a cut/tear/stretch in the seal.

I heard if you leave your bike in the back of your truck tied down for and extended period of time, it can do some seal damage.

Most seals actually use pressure to seal like in a shock-that has 175psi in and seals last ages.
