I agree with you. The races are great.

Somehow it looks like a more honest race. It is not as if your watching a guy that is paid 200k a year to finish tenth.

Canadian MX rocks !! It is great to watch, they should let these guys produce the AMA series.

i think the thing i like most is:
it seems like down home roots type racing. not the chad and ricky show,
the different teams (ie: coors light, blackfoot etc)

WOW I thought maybe it was just me.that canadian stuff rules, doesnt it!Maybe its the smaller tracks or camerawork but it seems the sensation of speed is higher than that of ama. Also the field is MUCH tighter which makes for great action throughout the pack-lotsa passin'.Think the people that produce tha ama show should watch the canadian shows and learn how its done correctly.

Tracks appear considerably smaller than the 2 mile outdoor tracks we got at the nationals. not the easiest thing to cover that much track. The canadian stuff is racing that I can relate to, although I am waaay slower than those guys. Tracks seem do-able. Nationals look like my worst nightmare.

Their anouncers are exciting to listen to and the camera work is fantastic.. They seem to always have a camera on a good pass even it is back as far as 8th or 9th place. ESPN constanly misses the pass for the lead.

I enjoy the races, the tracks look excellent, the announcing reminds me of mid 90's ESPN coverage along with the mechanic question B.S., other than that!

It looks like the cameramen are right on the track. Those tracks are super nice, too. That last track was particularly short, the rest won't be as tight as that. And the announcers are really into line choices, passes, and the action as opposed to lifestyle drama. It took Ricky Carmichael as announcer to clue "our" colormen in on some of the AMA passes last week! Where's DB when you need him? Maybe if they keep bringing in all the riders who are out like Ferry, Smith, Gosselaar, Demuth, Tortelli, Pastrana, etc., etc., etc.

Best camera work I have seen on TV, especially the overhead shots.

How about the commentators though? They are definately riders and know the sport but how many latte's do they have before each show? They are jacked on something for sure. Screaming, yelling, laughing when a guy takes a face plant. Two weeks ago one of the top riders took a huge crash and they guys were losing it. Then he didn't move for awhile and you could tell they kind of felt bad.

I get tires just listening to them, but definately a nice change instead of tuning in ESPN for the video and ignoring the audio.

That was fun to watch!  It was certainly better TV than most rounds of the US SX series.  Lots of tight racing.

As mentioned before, great camera work! They seem to have a lot of cameras, so you get to see most the track and tons of action.  And they compress 4 motos into a one hour broadcast, so the racing footage consists of starts, passing, passing, passing, more passing, then the finish.

Also, the announcers do have a lot of enthusiasm and are pretty good.  While not in Bailey's class, the announcing is way better than the current ESPN2 crew for the SX series (Jamie Little excepted, I think she's good).
