Hello all i'm getting ready to change the coolant on my 97 kdx 220 can i use any 50/50 coolant such as peak prestone etc etc purchased from any auto store walmart etc or do i have to use a special coolant bought from a dealer. Thank you

Just be sure to choose a coolant that is silicate-free. Peak is fine.

Unless you need the freeze protection where you live, you don't even need antifreeze. I run straight water with Water Wetter in all my bikes. Straight water with a surfactant mixed in is a better coolant than any anti-freeze.

Unless I am wrong it is a bad idea to not use any antifreeze at all. Even if you live in an area that wont freeze, antifreeze also contains anti corrosion stuff. You don't want rust and whatnot building up in the system.

Water Wetter also contains all the neccessary anti-corrosives and water pump lubricant.
