I just picked up an 8gb Lexar 133x card for $50 through Adorama. There are definte deals to be had.

Time to jump on a couple more 2 gig cards I guess. Had a 1 gig go bad, lost a remote shoot! Used some recovery software and was able to save the images... can't have too many cards. Don't think I'll ever go above 2gigs, would hate to lose 4 gigs in one shot!

Thanks for the heads-up Lou, I've had good luck with the Kensington 2 gig.

Thanks for the heads-up Lou, I've had good luck with the Kensington 2 gig.

We don't use anything larger than 1 gb cards on our remote shoots. We get paranoid about losing a whole bunch of work in one shot too. We usually only go through 2 cards per camera at most events anyway.

I have no problem going to a 4 gb card for my personal stuff though. I'm not making money on my personal shots so it's not a devastating loss if a card goes bad.
