dang jp, we talk about the clash a few days ago and look what happens:

Joe Strummer, vocalist and guitarist of the pioneering punk band the Clash, was found dead in his home in southwest England on Sunday, according to a police spokesperson. The cause of death is unknown, though authorities do not believe the circumstances to be suspicious. Strummer was 50.

Strummer's body was discovered Sunday afternoon in his Somerset home by his wife Lucy, who phoned police. They arrived around 4:45 p.m. and pronounced him dead at the scene. Officers believed Strummer died from heart failure.

Yeah, it's a shame that the guy's gone. I don't know if he had anything left, but he was definitely a 'pioneer' of punk.

Guess I'll try to find Sandinista! now. It's the only Clash work I never bought. :ugg:

I still remember slamming around to Combat Rock on my high school stage. Good stuff, he will be missed.
