I run Honda oil at the recommended 32:1. It's a synthetic designed to run at that ratio. My main priority is to keep the engine well lubricated, so I want to stay at 32:1 (my new Suzuki even recommends 30:1). Anyone have experience with a quality oil that burns cleaner? I have spooge coming out the front seal of the muffler.

This is for an 04 RM250.

Anyone tried the Suzuki two stroke oil? Is Yamalube any better/different than the Honda synthetic?

I've had real good luck with Mobil-1 MX2T. It's fully synthetic, burns really clean and I can get it at Auto Zone for $3.49 a bottle. I've been using it for about three years now with good results. I mix it at 40:1

Blue marble is the cleanest burning oil out there. Ive been using it in my kx250, and it actually took off the carbon build up on my piston crown. Check out the reviews on Off-road.com

hey bro, im running yamalube r2 (or 2r?) at 32:1 on my RM250 and its holding up great.. I had spooge before i JETTED it, now there is nothing and it runs amazing!

Spooge should be cured with leaner jetting.....

I've tried various oils but always go back to Castrol TTS and it doesn't seem to spooge even when jetting rich. However, we don't seem to have access to as many different oils in the UK as you do. I usually run 40-1 in my RM250, but drop down to 32-1 if I want run a little leaner.

The type of oil means absolutely nothing (in terms of spooge), for the average rider. You could run ACME brand TCWIII, and if it's jetted right, will not 'spooge'. Make sure the air filter's been serviced, but realize that Suz & Kaw 2 strokes are for some reason, jetted way fat from the factory. You'll have to buy a handful of pilot and main jets and experiment. If you need to, go to Gorr's website and learn the right way to jet a bike. My KX500 would barely run when I picked it up.

Yeah my KX 125 runs extremely rich. Its at the point where almost every ride I have to change the plug, so i deffinetly have to jet when it gets warmer out since I am barely riding in this weather anyway :|

But yeah, spooge is more of a factor with your jetting than it is with your premix ratio or your oil.

suzuki cci oil is a great oil made by shell oil company. but i do notice it gums power valves up.

I run the HP-2 oil at 40:1 with 93 pump gas and don't have a spooge problem.
