The clutch rod shown here is not meeting up with the clutch cover (the round thing that covers the plates) (not the engine cover).
It was 8 months ago that this bike was taken apart. If i had one it is somewhere in my garage. im going to go look for it right now. what does it look like?j.lawson said:so the lifter, thing that looks like bolt with washers is not pushing your pressure plate to dis-engage the clutch then?
you installed the springs correctly....does your model have the little ball bearing that sits inbetween the lifter and the push rod? did you install that if so?
where can i buy one of these?j.lawson said:its just a tiny metal ball, like out of a ball bearing. Its about the diameter of the push rod, it sits inside the lifter and the push rod goes in behind it. but, some bikes and models didnt have them, i think. every bike iv worked on has though. good luck.
shucks. i dont have any of that. its long gone by now.j.lawson said:from looking at a oem schematic your bike (2004 cr 250r) does not have that little ball.

^^this ^^ is the link to that schematic, make sure every part is there and assembled in that order on your bike with the right amount of clutch plates.
from the schematic it looks like there should be a bearing(#22), a washer (#23), and a clip (#1) on the end of the lifter, it may be there but the pic is outta focus so I cant tell?
yeah i took it outBSWIFT said:Where is your pressure plate? It is not in the picture.
