Clutch On my 2002 honda 80 do i need a new one

it takes some time for my clutch to disengage and get going like its slipping. i think i may need a new one. anyone kno a good cheap one or way to repair the clutch because it needs one. how much do you think they will run for a new or used for the bike

First, check the clutch lever free play. If that specs out then remove the clutch cover and inspect. Do the basic stuff, measure the pressure plate and clutch plates for warpage, inspect the basket for notches, measure the thickness of the friction plates.

Pantless Wonder
And perhaps most importantly based on your description check the spring height. On the XR80 since it's typically a little iron pig that tends to see little maintenance and lots of abuse I always replace the springs and both metal & fiber plates.
