Well.... Just upgraded the motherboard, CPU, and graphics board... had to buy a new case. So I move the CD-ROM to the new case, hard drive to new case, floppy to new case, and hook everything up. Wouldn't you know it just lights up! But the CD wasn't responding. So I was continuing to install drivers, when suddenly the CD starts to work. So I start to work on the graphics drivers (something to do with getting into VGA mode :silly: ) and then it stops working again! :debil: :( (Note: It still opens, just doesn't detect any CD) So I've checked all the connectors a couple million times, replaced the ribbon cable, tried a different CD-ROM drive, and still nothing. My last guess is the data cable (dunno if that's what its called but it's a small wire with a 4-pin connector. Does anybody know what my problem might be? :silly:
