I know that coolant flows thru the head, but
where else?around cylinder and then head, thru
hoses to top of radiater and then back thru pump?
Is this right?or am I missing somewhere?have a
bike with white smoke and hard to kick over.I
need to know the complete water path and did
a search and found nothing ever posted on the
exact question.

Starting at your water pump the coolant flows through your cases and then up onto your cylinder on the exaust side and then into your head and up the hose back into your radiator. So two places water can get into your engine. at the base gasket or head gasket.

Thanks. So does water go thru the channels in the case to the intake side also
or just the exhaust side and then into the head on the exhaust side only and
then into radiater.Just want to make sure for troubleshooting purposes.
Thanks as I just want to make sure I understand, and appreciate your help.

Geez I just put my engine back together, I think the coolant comes up the exaust side and then around just the top part of the cylinder. I never really pay any attention to the water ports. But I know it does not go through the cases to the intake side.
