For a 02 CR 250, is the bolt on the front sprocket a right or left hand thread? I believe its a right hand thread, but want to be sure so I don't snap the bolt trying to loosen it the wrong direction.

A good way to work out the thread direction on a shaft is using this rule. The direction of rotation of the shaft should be opposite direction to the tightening direction of the nut/bolt. This if so the nut/bolt won't loosen during use. So for your CR the shaft turns counter-clockwise looking at it from the sprocket end, so to tighten the bolt turn it clockwise(ie RH thread.)
