AMA PRO RACING ANNOUNCES TWO WAYS FOR FANS TO FOLLOW THE AMA CHEVY TRUCKS U.S. MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP LIVE

Television Coverage Continues Too

PICKERINGTON, Ohio – Beginning with the first race of the season May 11 at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, Calif., AMA Motocross fans will be able to hear the action from every lap of the 2003 AMA Chevy Trucks U.S. Motocross Championship thanks to an all-new audio webcast presented by Racer X. Carried live on www.mxnationals.com the webcast will be an actual simulcast of the event announcers “calling” the race. In addition to the webcast, fans can also log on to www.USMotocross.com for real-time lap timing. Debuting during the 2003 AMA Supercross season, @theWire LIVE! has proven to be a huge hit with fans wanting to literally keep track of each event as it unfolds.

TV viewers won’t miss out either as ESPN2 will once again broadcast each moto of racing action for both the 125 and 250 classes. Visit USMotocross.com for the complete broadcast schedule.

“Between our extensive TV coverage, audio webcasts and live timing data, motocross enthusiasts have a wide variety of ways to follow their favorite sport and literally monitor the action as it unfolds,” says John Farris, AMA Pro Racing vice president of commercial development. “Emerging technology gives us the opportunity to present our series in a way that was but a dream a few short years ago. The days of waiting weeks for motocross event coverage are gone as fans now have instant access to information. AMA Pro Racing is pleased to be able to bring this to our fans.”

Davey Coombs from Racer X adds, “We’re really excited to once again present the audio webcast of the AMA Chevy Trucks U.S. Motocross Championship for people all over the world. This motocross series is the most important in the world now, and fans everywhere, whether they are from Australia, France, South Africa or even Southern California, should have the chance to listen to these races live on the Internet.”

The AMA Chevy Trucks U.S. Motocross Championship is comprised of 12 events throughout each summer. The 2003 season begins May 11, at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, Calif., and culminates August 31, at Steel City Raceway in Delmont, Pa.

I'm so sick of espn 2 you see they moved the salt lake race to 11 pm eastern time sunday night. As fast as this sport is growing it needs live tv coverage. I wish they would give it to speed vision. Just my 2 cents worth

ESPN2 might be bad, but at least everyone gets it. What I hate about Speed Channel is that without satelite (or some digital areas, but not all), you can't get it. We need coverage that is offered by channels that everyone gets, like ESPN, ESPN2. They just need to start covering the events LIVE rather than one or two weeks later. :debil:

Espn2 isnt available in our area without getting digital cable. So not much difference then having satelite. They cut out saturdays coverage of Broome Tiaga. :(
