my friend has a cr 250 and he just had it rebuilt and it is really hard to start as in high compression and it takes about 10 to 15 kicks to start but it clatters a lot but still runs good whats clattering?

sounds like he put it together wrong or the rod might be knocking

well it runs good and has awesome power but it doesent rev that high

What year? The 86-91's have some power valve noise.
