HI!,I'm new on this site.
I have a '01cr500 with the original PJ carb but last week I found an used 39 PWK.
The problem is that I don't know the pwk setting for this bike and also local honda dealer can't help me.

I use the bike in supermotard configuration but not for competition.

Apologies for my english!!

On my kx500 (39.5 pwk) I run 168 main, 58 pilot, n82m needle 2nd clip from top.

When I bought it, it had 175 main , 60 pilot, same needle and position. Thats more of a desert set-up.

I figured it would get you a starting point. My current settings are still a tad rich at 75 degrees farenheit and 500 ft above sea level.

Your PJ jets will fit in the PWK. I'd suggest using all of them as a baseline, but richen it up a bit to be safe. Then dial it in from there.

Thanks to all.I made a test with PJ jets and needle (55 pilot,168 main and jr1368 needle 3rd clip position:on PJ clip was in 4th position from top). The bike runs much better but the slide valve of my old 39 PWK is worn out and it costs about 130$(in Italy).I made an other test with 175 main but it seems too rich.
I know that Sudco International shells a new 39,5 PWK for 243$ + shipping (60$).
What do you think about??

Sudco can probably also sell you a new slide. The 38mm PWK and 39.5mm PWK use the same slides. I've got two of the former and one of the latter and all the parts interchange.
