CR125 96 in a 01

Does anyone know if a cr125 motor from a 1996 will fit in a 2001. The top end looks to be off a 01 or similar year but will the bottom end match up with the 2001 mounts and electronics?

i sucessfully put a 00 model cylinder on a 96 model motor. i can probly answer any question u have. call me 479-518-0157 or email me brian.funk@starband.net. it will work.

thankyou, theres a 96 motor on Fleabay, its newer so i was wondering if it was a direct swap. Thanks for your help

so does anyone know if the 96 cr will bolt into a 01 frame? are the electronics the same?
