I am trying to get a good start on my rebuild/repair process on my '93 Cr250 engine. Here s what I have found so far, Metal bronze looking shavings near crank, mostly the crank is seized but will move with force (seems to get stuck at bottom of stroke). Do you guys think this crank is rebuildable? Or should I go with a new crank set-up? Old bike owner said the engine just stopped when riding the dunes. How do i post pics???????????? No Links??

Pics are in my gallery for now.... I think this thing needs a new crank, main bearings, and piston with all fresh gaskets and a flush out.

yea wiseco ,and hot rods are cheep but great stuff!!
call midwest action cycle -1-800-343-9065
a rod,and having it rebuilt will cost more than a new one if there still on sale/ available ect...
usually 80- 100 for the rod kit, plus the rebuild

Go Aftermarket

You may be able to re-build it but it is probably cheaper to go with an aftermarket better performing hot rods crank.

i just finished rebuilding my cr250 2000 and got my parts at motosport. $360 for a new crank/seals/bearings/gasket set and piston. Dont bother with rebuilding a crank unless you work at a machine shop with access to a press and vblocks to true it. good luck.
