CR250 Fork Seal & Oil

I need fork seals in my 00 CR250.

Anyone input on longevity/service issues with K&S brand fork seals and dust seals?

Also, how much oil do I need to do both legs? Is one quart enough. Is 5W the stock oil?

You will need 2 quarts to change the all the oil in both legs (6.4oz per fork damper and 12 to 15 oz in each fork leg). Yes the stock oil is 5w. I have never tried K&S fork seals so I don't know. I buy the seal set, which includes the dust and oil seal, from Service Honda.

I will only use the Honda fork seals, also. They seem to hold up the best. I also second using Service Honda. Great prices and excellent service. You might as well check the bushings while you have the forks apart. They are probably worn.
