If you look at the SH 500AF photos, it looks like a 250 kicker to me. OK, I just double-checked and SH has the left side in the pics, but I know I've seen ones on the right with a 250 kicker.

Besides, it's aluminum, it will probably bend before it breaks.

The 250 kicker isn't that much smaller than the 500 one.

i dont need to look in the photos i can just look at my bike lol (its a stock cr500 lever) it is not too much smaller but they way its bent looks way better .if it was steel i would say it would bend before it breaks .......but with aluminum i doubt it i would be willing to bet it would break instead of bending and i just didn't want to be the first to find this out 10 miles from the truck but i think i will try it and see (i will just have to keep the stocker in the truck incase it breaks then atleast i could send a buddy to get it )

Quite a few folks who've built their own use the 250 kicker. I could have sworn the Service Hondas used the 250 kicker, but maybe those had been changed since yours is a 2005 and has the 500 bit. I wouldn't worry about it, but then again, I have hills to stop at the top of so I can bump it if need be. ;)

I just checked the Service Honda website and they have a used 500AF Limited Edition on there that has a 250 kicker mounted on it. The used "regular" 500AF has the 500 bit but the LE bike has the 250 bit on it.
