Took by 2004 CR250 off the stand today and noticed a nice pool of oil under it. Upon further inspection it appears to be coming from the bottom rear clutch cover bolt. I checked it and its torqued correctly.

Could it be as simple as pulling the clutch cover and replacing the gasket?

Could be. You don't even have to drain the oil out to check it - just take off the rear brake lever, and drop the bike over.

The gasket is an o-ring that runs around the inside of the clutch cover. As long as it is in there with no tears it should seal just fine.

Is it the front lower bolt? Those can take rock hit and bend your bolt and slightly warp your clutch cover at the same time. If so, you might need a new cover and a new gasket. A bolt that is not straight won't torque correctly anyhow.

Best to pull it apart and check it out. Find a good flat surface to put your clutch cover on to make sure it isn'[t warped.
