it has a H and a L marking.
H- high compession
L- low compression

turn the knob toward the H setting. on my 84cr125 i have two of these knobs, one at the bottom of my shock and one on the nitro tank.

How much do you weigh?? What kind of condition is the shock in?? There is a chance it is worn out and there is a chance that you have the wrong spring for your weight. And, of course, there is the chance that an adjustment only will work for you.

if you tighten the spring it will be stiffer- but adjust the rebound as well - because it will rebound faster from the tighter spring,- or get a heavier spring weight
