OL89'R What do you know? Sounds like a lot to me!
I don't know if its worth it to install better guides considering how cheap the head is. One things for sure, when a guy lands with the gas on in a lower gear from a big jump and the valves shred, the guides are the least of the problem. The head I replaced had chunks in the combustion chamber from valve shrapnel.
I still think that Magnaflux is a good tool considering that the price and availability makes it so viable. I use the Magnaflux machine at a local automotive machine shop. And I see these machines for sale all the time for about $1,000. I use it for these new style thin cast iron sleeves for the Honda 440cc 4-wheeler big bore kits. Sometimes those sleeves have tiny cracks that only the Magnaflux machine can detect.
