how do you measure?what hight should it be? on a 01 cr80r?
i think it may be off, it bogs at low RPM, pulls hard at higher RPM and WOT.

I don't recall, I always used my Honda Service Manual to make sure. Might want to look for one it's a great way to spend $40 even though it doesn't give much bling factor.

do it visually. Measuring is not as accurate.

Bogging is probably more to do with jetting, low compression or worn reeds

yeah. You want the bowl to be 3/4 full and the fuel to shut of just as the float arm goes level with the bottom of the carb.

I have never measured a float. Waste of time.

Yeah sure, I think I'll stick with following the method outlined in the Factory Service Manual. Maybe you should try to get the factory race teams to use your method, think of all the time they will save.
