All of the above please.

We've had some wacky weather too - a foot of snow, then 60 degrees, then 6 more inches of snow.

Oh well...

same here in southern Indiana!! driving me nutso!!!! Freezing rain. then -2 degrees. then sunny and high 60's on my new bike.

I remember when I was a kid and the transitions into seasons were MUCH more uniform and smooth. weird.

We got 80 Inches of snow in 2 weeks. I've burned 60 Gallons of Diesel moving snow around for me and a few neighbors. Not to mention twice it being so cold the Diesel gel'ed up even with some anti gel.
Now it's going to be 45 and flooding :)

Smiff! I was just looking at a slideshow on the flooding. Hope you aren't anywhere near it, I've had one home with three feet of water on the main floor before, aint no fun watching your posessions float around in the house.

That water has to be coldernel.

I was wondering how you were doing up there in the Spookaloo area, Smiffy. Not that I'm glad you got it all, but I'm glad we didn't get as much down here.

Thanks for the concern guys! I was lucky that I had 2 weeks off for Christmas.
So far I'm good on the flooding. I have one barn that the horse compacted the ice so much that the water ran into the barn, yet a few hours with a pick and an axe and I was able to change the flow enough to get it around the corner and drain down hill.

I did have a pipe freeze in the basement when it hit about 20 below at night, yet thankfully it was outdoor camping gear and skiing crap that got wet. the sleeping bags actually kept most the water from spreading!

Good times, builds character ;)

Replace them water lines with Viega or fostapex tubing, holds better than galvanized pipe! Around here we do not even put drains on outside walls anymore. Better yet, keep the heat on! They have plenty of that in Colorado! Odd time for wildfires?

-8 and falling at the bottom of Lake Michigan. Oh, at the wind thing, -20? Local paper had some kid stuck to a metal pole via his tongue. Deeply inhaling through the nose will make your nostrils stick.
