I have ridden an '02 450 and an 04 450 and have noticed that the 02 blows through the travel front and rear on big hits esp. the G-out type. The 04 is way better, also the seat to peg distance is more on the04 which is way better for me 6' tall and the 02 was cramped is the '03 closer to an 02 or an04. I have a line on a new left over 03 for about $900 less I love the 04 I just want try and $ave some $. Any comments would be much appreciated.

I loved my 03. I put an Emig clamp on it to move the bars forward ad taller and i added an SDG tall seat to it. If you want more bottom end on it I also added a PC Ti4 exhaust system to it. The suspension on the 03 was good but MX-Tech can make it perfect. I now have an 04 and I did the same modifications to it. The 04 definately pulls harder but the gearing is kinda jacked up, I had to add a tooth on the rear to make it right. Took a while to get used to the 04.
