Hi,

I just picked up a 06 CRF450R on friday, took it out on the weekend for a run, OMG this thing has power!!! However, it doesn't seem to want to turn that well, the forks are raised about 10mm in the clamps and rear sag is about 120mm. I am making the comparison to my last bike an 04 KX250F, which was very easy to flick into corners.

Is this just a difference between the 250's and 450's and I just need to muscle it a little more? or is it a bike specific problem?

Cheers

You have way too much rear sag which will make it turn like a chopper. Try something in the 95-100 mm range.

Well that definitely fixed that problem, however I have discovered another :bang: The compression adjuster on the right hand fork leg just spins! eg it won't stop turning, what would cause this? I have replaced seals, bushes etc on many Kayaba forks, but have never seen the internals of Showa.
