I'm pumped from receiving my more low-to mid-ported cylinder back from Eric, & am in the process of putting things back together.

When reinstalling head studs, does one use anti-seize or thread lock? I've done a search here and have seen both recomended.

My manual calls out Suzuki Bond 1207B, but I'd rather use readily available off the shelf or what I already have vs. a special order. Three different thread locking compounds are called out for use elsewhere, so my conclusion is this 1207B is simply anti-seize, especailly since they are steel studs monted in aluminum.

I use anti-seize. Use it on the locating dowels on the bottom too if you have those.

I use HiTack. It's a thread sealant/gasket adhesive that never dries, keeping threads lubed, and gaskets easy to remove.

PS, on exhaust gaskets, I use copper gasket sealant.
