I hope you're the only could help me - i have some technical question concerning cylinder. Please try to explain all this stuff in quite simply words cos i'm from abroad as u see :)
I bought couple months ago yamaha yz 125 and unfortunately former owner put the sleeve into cylinder instead of renickeled it. I purchased new cylinder new plated /nikasil/ but i don't wanna just throw away the old one /those with sleeve/.
I know there's a possibility of making sth like big bore kit but here are my questions:
1. When i remove sleeve from cylinder how i'll messure it? How many bore it gonna have?
2. Are the cylinder walls won't be too thin and weaker after?
3. Where do you buy these strange pistons in eg 134 bore?
4. How much congested will be the rod /i have to exchange it for sth stronger aftermarket or from another model/?
5. How much ofter i should rebuild the top end having cylinder bored?
