All:

I had a circlip fail and a piece broke off and managed to scar the cylinder bore on my 98 YZ 125. What is the best approach to getting this repaired?

Replace cylinder?
Strip/Weld/Re-plate it?
Sleeve it?

I need help ASAP!

Thanks,
-jeffd

It looks like the looser of a knife-fight.

Long, ugly, and deep!

I found a shop that will get me a new one for ~225 beans. Sold!

Sounds like a good canidate for a 144 kit! j/k. $225 for a new cylinder is pretty good I would rather have a new cylinder then pay almost the same amount for replating, welding, or sleeving a cylinder.

I probably neglected to mention that I do not want to pour any more cash into this bike than I need to. I plan on selling it and getting a brand new one soon.

The 133 kit sounds nice, but it is also considerably more $$$$ than the replacement cylinder.

LOL! It is always easy to spend someone else's money.
Scott - don't you think that your '01 KX needs to be replaced with an '02? ;)
