Holy crap.. Okie.. don't take this the wrong way, but I really don't want to get into "this" conversation. I will if you'd like ;), but I don't want to.

How about this: Based on my research on this topic I KNOW I can LEGALLY get the bike for $5149 OTD. Right now. Today, were I so inclined. I am so inclined, but my job is a little sketchy at the moment so I am opting not to. But that is also another topic.

Okie: Sorry.. That's why I inserted the "don't take this the wrong way". Some people like to get all fired up about this topic about how much a dealer should/shouldn't make. I just kinda wanted to head it off at the pass before I started pissing people off. :)

To answer the question of where can I get the Suz?: http://www.troycitygarage.com/dirt_bikes.htm

sweet, I am not sure the dealer cost on the RM but the price on the YZ 125 was 4600. Here in Jville, the Yamaha dealership gives what they call a local racer discount on new bikes for the guys who run all of the points series around here. They charge these guys 2600 a bike for 04 YZ 125's and more like 4 for the 250's. The prices you listed are good but I doubt they are even close to dealer price. The markup is fairly high from what it seems because I doubt the dealer would be nice enough to lose money on the bikes it sells to all the A riders in the area.

My good friend is a pro rider and the dealership here would give him two new bikes every year (a 125 and a 250), then he would have to spend the additional $4 grand or so a piece upgrading them, and then he would have to return them at the end of the year back to the dealership when he picked up his new bikes. My guess was that the dealership was selling the used bike for around their cost on the bike in the first place.
