I have recently just been using my bazooka, best part is once the deer is killed its also cooked on impact, all I have to do than is catch the falling peices out of the sky and enjoy a good snack!

Didn't I see that on RedNeck Rampage? :) :)

Our rule also is if you kill it you eat it ...
When I first put a BB gun in my boys' hands, I told 'em "If you kill ANYTHING, you're gonna eat it. I don't care if it's a crow, or a mocking bird, or a toad. You're free to shoot, but remember: kill for a reason NOT for the fun of it!"
In fact, that's why I quit hunting some time ago. I prefer to eat store bought beef. If I do anymore hunting it'll be with a camera. I'm all for hunting, it just doesn't fit my tastes.

Bowhunt w/traditional longbow and I make my arrows. Guns - yep! Trap martin and fisher, sometimes beaver. Just got back from a week long fishing trip up north. Caught a nice keeper Coho (crankbaits on the big pond lake M) for salmon patties and a bunch of worn out Kings (flyfishing) moving onto their beds in the Boyne River - let them go. Gotta love Michigan. Yesterday I could here the guys and gals tearing up the Sandbox MX track just down the road from my place. Fishing in mid-Oct.

my favorite type of hunting is coyote hunting. they are smart. it takes more than just cover scent and patience to get them.

recently at my friends house one would come just far enough out of the corn so the dogs could see them. then when they did he would run back in there. we went out there one night with a big spotting light. sure enough when he came and we flipped on the light there were atleast 5 more waiting in the corn trying to lure the dogs in there.

we took care of them.

As many know on here I am a huge hunter. I deer hunt with a bow and muzzleloader. This year I have been getting into planting food plots to help the habitat. My main love is waterfowl though. I love to duck and goose hunt. Its pretty addicting.

Bow season opened last week and 2 weeks from now duck season opens.

This year will be epic (hopefully)

Pred2 is now 12 and gets his first deer tag. He rattled in a little towhead for me last year. I plan on returning the favor this year. Be prepared for pictures.

Hard to get serious about deer 'til November, though.

This is when it's great to be a dad. :)

I am an what they would call an "accidently successful" hunter.

As far as I can tell, getting those 4 point bucks are easy. Me and my Ford Escort got one earlier this year without even trying!

I also clipped one with my CR 80 when it ran across a local track I was practicing at...

Back when I was 14-15, I hunted pigeons and gophers and carp with my slingshot. All were pests, and the neighbors appreciated the help quite a bit, as their grandson wasn't quite as good and usually took out at least two or three windows per summer...

Not many will get this one, but lately, I've been on a skunk spree. I hunt them with my rotobeeter, and have gotten at least one each week this season!

Back on a more serious note, I have made up my mind to actually try some whitetail hunting this year. I have a location, and a group to go with, but the main difficulty lies in finding a gun for me to use. No one has one that won't recoil me out of the deer stand.

No Problem, My 7 Year Old Daughter And Ex Wife Both Hunt With A 243.i Made The Mistake Of Teaching My Wife To Shoot And Hunt While We Were Married, Now We Are Divorced And I Had To Find A New Place To Hunt, Shes To Mad At Me And To Good Of A Shot For Me To Risk Being In The Same Patch Of Woods With Her !!! Borrow One From Someone And Shoot It. I Think Youll Be More Than Happy !!

ours ended Oct 1. Started Labor Day weekend or thereabouts. yeah, kinda sucktastic to have it when it's still so warm out, cuz you gotta get the meat out quick.

General rifle starts Oct 10. Relatively short for elk, Deer until the first week of December.

over here in ireland the only things you can shoot are tequila and heroin. :( although both fun if enjoyed responsibly by professional drivers in a closed course, picture for illustration purposes only, batteries not included. ;)
