On my dads 96cr250(ive been riding it for the past week or so) ive noticed that no matter how long the oil is in it(wether its a single ride or 5 rides) the oil comes out burnt black and w/ that grayish metallic look in it. The past few rides i though the clutch was slipping. Now i know it is. Now that i think of it, this bike has always seemed to lose some oomph after it has been ridden a while. Since the oil always comes out burnt could that be a sign that the clutch has been slipping a little for a while? Like when a clutch slips it gets real hot and frys the oil correct? I think it has hinson everything in there. Would i be able to use stock honda plates and springs in it? Are any of the aftermarket plates and springs as good as stock honda?
