Ok folks. I got some real quick questions (I hope). Last time on a KDX for me was waaaay back in '82 or whenever the first year they came out with the uni-shock. Best days of my life, sniff. I had a KDX 80.
Anyway, I'm currently on a '95 Suzuki DR250es that I've owned since new. Slightly modded.
I have a chance to sell it and get a '96 KDX200 with extremely low hours and looks pert-near showroom. The transfer would cost me no money.
My two questions are as follows:
1) Is there anything negative to know about this particular model year and have there been any substainal upgrades to the KDX lineup since '96.
2) Although I have '00 Vmax for a street bike I really want to duel sport the bike. After owning one for so many years, it's just so nice to jump on the bike and ride the streets down to my favorite local riding areas. I assume the bikes have kits available or I can piece one together myself. I'm no master mehanic by any means, so the process has to be somewhat straight forward. Secondly, and more specificaly, I'm hoping someone from MN might chime in on the sucess of getting the bike plated in our great state.
Thanks in advance,
Dan
PS Funny thing, I did a spell check and it did not recognize KDX :)
