This will be The Ant's and my second time doing it... it's a total kick in the pants!
Sorry about the following .... er... *rather* lengthly post, but it's got good info for those going... and plenty of incentive for those on the bubble. (grin)
Susan (The Ant) and I, Mini and Buddy, have already made our hotel reservations. It's clean, nice, priced *very* reasonable, and it is in a great location for supporting/accessing the race.

We have a room with two beds for $55.00 (plus tax) a night. (Just about the best price we could find.) We are coming in Friday afternoon, 11/8 and will be staying Friday, Saturday, Sunday night, and then leaving out early Monday morning for the drive back to Portland, OR. We have stayed here twice before for previous GPs and it is in a *great* location! It's about a 1/2 mile from the back half of the course which has the best viewing. Works great for finishing the last race(s) on Sunday, zipping back to the motel, showering, and then going to watch the Harvey Mushman 100 (the 100-miler pro race).

Our Race Info:
Randy and Susan are entering the following classes:
Saturday:
Susan: Women's Nov (9am) [BBR200]
Randy: Open Nov (2pm) KTM 400 MXC]
Sunday:
Susan: +50 Beg (11am)
Randy: +40 Nov (11am) [these two classes run in the same heat at 11am]
We really like running these classes in this order as it allows us enough time (on Saturday) to support the other person and run around and take pictures.
And on Sunday we actually get to race in the same heat... which is way cool!
The course is very wide, plenty of room for passing, and has very good sightlines. This also means very few surprises and little chance for bottlenecks w/ piles of riders. We are planning on driving around and walking the course on Friday evening. Once you do that, there are no real surprises. Heats run back-tback throughout the day, ~ 1 hour in length. Course is ~ 7 miles long and is a mix of pavement (downtonw MAIN STREET!!), dirt roads, fairly open MX-style area, lot's of higher speed GP type corners/gullies/dips, some more pavement, more GP course, the famous ridge trail from the movie (roughly the size of a jeep trail) down through some back neighborhood streets, hit Main Street again, and then repeat until they make you stop and get the heck off the course! major, way-fun!
And for any first-time lady-racers... On only her FIFTH ride ever on a dirt bike, Susan rode the Elsinore GP back in 1997, did just fine and had a ball.
They also now have the entry form on Goat Breker's Eyewear web site:
