I currently race hare scrambles. I'm interested in trying an enduro and I see that most, if not all promoters require a tag (license plate). How does this work, seeing that just about all the bikes used in these events are unregistered offroad dirt bikes. Someone told me that I could bolt my pick-up truck license plate on my rear fender and that will pass tech inspection. Is this true?

A truck plate will not work.
99% of all Enduros use some public roads to transfer from one section to another. Using these roads you must be street legal, meaning a valid plate. Obtaining a plate varies from state to state. Check with your local BMV.
