Engine case broken where clutch cable mounts

Has anyone experienced this before? While loosening my clutch cable nut on the place on the engine case where the cable runs through, the upper piece on the case broke. The cable nut/flange still have some material on the lower side to pinch, but the upper part is broken off. Will JB WELD hold it back together, or am I looking at a new case? :bang:

A welding shop can fit it easy. I have fixed the same thing on an old DT175. I just drilled some small holes in the bit that is left and tied the cable to it with wire. Dunno if thats any help or not.
