exc or mxc

I recently purchased a 01 200 exc. I plan on racing it in D14 scrambles. I am however concerned that I bought the wrong tool for the task at hand and maybe should've bought a mxc. I would appreciate any feedback or experience that anyone out there might have. Yes I know about the Aussie.

I can't comment on your particular area but here in New England it seems most prefer the EXC, not all but most, for HS's. NETRA's top rider is currently racing a 01(400)MXC until his 01(400)EXC comes in (if that's worth anything to you?). The WR tranny is more forgiving in the tight woods and faster on top for the flats. I wouldn't sweat it, I don't think you'll be disapointed.

You're fine! the mxc just has a better 1st gear ratio, IMO.
