So, I bought a 1991 CR250 and the bike rocks! I rebuilt it but have been having trouble finding an exhaust gasket for the Pro Circuit works pipe where it connects to the exhaust manifold on the engine (via 2 springs). It leaks oil and I want to fix it. The local shop has no idea what to order, Pro Circuit has no idea either. Please help!!!

The 91 CR250 originally had a thin metal gasket that was cut in the center. It did not really work all that well by itself. Red high temp silicone was required as well. The gasket(more like a sealing band) is an OEM Honda part and available through any Honda shop. Later models used rubber bands. These may work, though I'm not positive it will, or what model would.

I used to cut my own from copper sheet stock. I rolled it around the exhaust flange for form, and then installeed it with a good thick coating of high tempp silicone. Works well.

The guys at PC are usually pretty swift. I guess it depends on who answers the phone.
