I put an E-line lighting coil on my 01 YZ 250 this past spring. Lights work great, but the shift lever BARELY clears the cover when upshifting. When my boots are wet or covered in mud, I can't shift up. it gets caught on the cover. For now I have just took the shift lever and beat the hell out of it to bend it out.

Can I get a shift shaft that sticks out further (extended on the spline side), or a shift lever that extends further from the side case?

Thanks.

Someone, I dont know if this is helpful or not. I recently added a Tusk brand shifter from Rocky Mountain ATV to my YZ 250. Honestly, It sticks out from the case at least 1/4 more than stock. Maybe this might be an advantage for you?

I just threw that shift lever I got from Rocky Mountain into the weeds. It kept coming loose (and the splines on the shaft are not worn) and when I went to tighten it, the threads in the lever stripped.

Anyone have any other ideas? This is a chronic problem with my lever coming lose after a short amount of time.
