I'm thinking (hard) about buying a new KDX220 ... and my local Kawi dealer tells me that there is no extended warranty for any off-road bikes (KX's or KDX's). Is he full of it or what? Could this be a state related thing? I live in floriduh!

No extended warranties on dirtbikes in my area too.

Most dirbikes have no warranty. :(

After pressing them with the issue and telling them that the kawasaki web pages say that at least the kdx is eligible for a "Good Times" Warranty, they bothered to read their factory info and what do you know?? They can come with a warranty!! :)

My dealer told me there was a warranty but it would be worthless with the mod's I'm planning on doing.

There's the stock 90 day limited warranty and then the optional 24 or 36 month "Good Times" protection plan.

take the money they want for extended warranty and buy some stuff for you or the bike. those extended warranty are pure profit for the dealers.
