DS3 with a MPLS long haul of 800 miles for this test. Not bad given the distance. Dual OC3's are in our future.

When I worked for Northern Telecom beginning in 1980, all of the Chevy dealers used a parts ordering system called Computerized.Automated.Reporting .System. This sytem consisted of a workstation with 4k of memory, two cassette drives, and a 1,200 baud modem to send their nightly reports to the big wigs.

Now I really feel old................................

I remember back in the late '80s using a 300 baud modem to download all the stocks at the end of the day to then print, wax and paste up for the daily newspaper. It was about a two hour deal. Of course, it still beats giving the ticker tape to the guy with the little lead letters on the manual typesetter before my time.

Fortunately the Fios seems to hold its speed reguardless of time of day. 35/35 is what they advertise, and i just got a notice that they are now offering 75/35 in my area.

Don't feel so bad, Pred.

This is over our T1 line at work. Usually it tests a little faster, like 1.25 mb/s. Blazing, lol.

At home I'm about 6.xx mb/s with Brighthouse/Time Warner Roadrunner cable.

Well, since my 2 year contract with verizon ran out this month, and I got a notice my bill was going up $15 a month, I called and worked out a new contract. For $10 a month more than I was paying for TV/Net, I now get 75/35 instead of 35/35.
