Has any one used a Filtron Super Flow Steel Oil Filter that is reusable.

I am thinking about purchasing one for my CRF250X and want to know if these are any good or should I just stick with the regular paper filters.

Thanks

Good paper filters changed regulary are still superior if protecting the engine is your goal.

I tried to use a filtron Stainless filter is our YZ450 and it was just a hair to long. First time we put it in it crushed as we put the cover on. Since then we have stayed with paper filters and as Rich said we change them often. May cost more as time goes on but I trust them more after our experience

the paper filters have more but smaller holes so filter out smaller particals and that is a good thing. The cleanable steel gauze filters can as there name suggests can be cleaned by anyone. You should have no trouble getting good paper filters and they are best. If you are really into protecting your motor I suggest magnetic drain plugs (mine were Ty Davis I think)
