Hello, I'm looking to buy a new dirt bike and been researching for a while but haven't made up my mind and would like others opinion's on the matter. I've never been on a dirt bike but have experience with ATV's(if that counts)

I'm 25 years old and have a good paying job now and wanted to spoil myself on getting a good bike that I'll have for a long time. Thus far I'm looking at KTM 450/500 but nothings set in stone just want a good reliable bike.

1) your physical size
6'3" - 230lbs

2) How physical / aggressive are you ?
I like to push it but nothing crazy

3) what do you plan to ride
Tight wood trails, logging roads, hunting trails also in snow

4) Do you have any riding experience?
None but consider myself a fast learner

5) Do you think you will race ?
competitively no

6) Are you mechanically inclined
Basic stuff I plan on doing myself

7) Do YOU have a preferance
From what I've read I think KTM is a good choice but still have an open mind and 4 stroke

8) Do you have a dealer close by your home
All big brands like KTM, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha are not to far

9) How much ($) do you plan to spend on a bike?
Bikes I'm looking at brand new are around 7-11k range

10) Do you live in California?
Canada

11) Your age?
25

The most expensive is not usally the best one. KTM (Keep.Taking.Money). From my PO a honda 450 would best suit you best for those low speeds in the woods and trails. Though if your going hunting thats an whole other bike. And jugdeing from your physical size a 200 would be to small for you.
