This seems like the most appropriate forum for this.:) In a word: Amazing! This is my first ever two-stroke and I have only been riding since March 2000. I thought it would take me quite a while to get the hang of this after coming off the DRZ. I've gotta say, all things being relative, that after about two laps at the Merwin, MO MX track, I haven't lost a thing! First of all, a bike that is about 75 pounds lighter is like riding a hot air balloon. This thing will leave the ground at will, even with my considerable mass on it. The low-end grunt out of this thing absolutlely amazes me for a two-stroke. Great tractability. Suspension: Light years ahead of my re-sprung and Gold-Valved DRZ. Very supple to soak up the small stuff and also quite progressive for taking the bigger hits (like, say, landing!). I know I'm still a novice but I have to say that I almost can't imagine suspension being much better than this. This thing is like butter! Keep in mind that I'm a 35 year-old novice, and I'm not looking to win any championships, but I do ride as aggressively as my skill level will let me. I just love the feel of this bike. The vibrations are minimal, the Pro-Tapers really seam to help in isolating your hands from vibration. The bike turns like it's on rails, too. Probably related to the weight, or lack thereof. There were a couple of times that I just had to let out one of those "Woohoo!" screams yesterday! It's just that much fun for me. All I can say is that I am a very happy camper! Plus, I got to meet another DRN member. Our little KC riding group has just grown by leaps and bounds this year, compared to the four regulars we had last year. Never a lack of riding buddies here. Cheers, everyone!:)
