On my '95 200 I noticed that my footpegs had alot of slack and had worn not only on the pegs but also on the brackets on the frame. I decided to use a mig welder to first build up the worn portion of the foot peg and then grind the weld so the footpeg fit back into the brackets on the frame, then I welded the worn bracket (lower bracket on the outer edge) and ground it until the footpeg fit snug but allowed smooth operation of the footpeg. If the footpegs had been oiled properly over it's life I am sure it would help minimize wear, but it's metal on metal and some wear has to occur. It made a big difference in how the footpegs fit, I thought maybe someone else might benefit from the experience.
