I'm working on a winter project (1991 250mxc) and I need info
on the flywheel puller for this bike, ie- what size threads, left or
right hand threads etc... The local dealer wants $40 and thinks it
will work. Also Motion-Pro's web site doesn't seem to list a puller for
this bike. Thanks in advance.

My local dealer has several extras for the old euro ignitions (make escapes me right now), bet he' d sell you one cheap.

All the new KTM's use Japanese Kosukan ignitions, I just bought one of those pullers, it's left hand threads.

The old KTM ignitions are RHT...

Call Joe at Big Joe's Cycles in Flagstaff. Joe and his son have raced KTM's since the mid 80's.
928-774-4662, ask for big joe. Tell em Buck sent you

I have a 96 300exc with the SEM ignition. H&H KTM in Douglasville, GA has a puller for this ignition that you can reverse for the fine threads on the Kokusan ignition. I believe it cost about $20.

I thnk I have a puller

I have a puller from my old Husky days, and as I rememebr it fits the 91 MXC, cause I had one.. At least I think it fits.. e-mail me and I'll loan it to ya.. Or you can see if the flywheel has a couple of bolt holes and try using a steering wheel puller, cheap at auto parts stores.

Thanks for all the info. I'm going to order a puller this weekend so I can get this bike done, it's going to be the youngest son's bike. Got to get them on euro-bikes as soon as possible.:)
