FMF MegaMax pipe on a YZF

I just bought a FMF MegaMax spark arrestor for my 98 YZ 400. After i put it on the bike seems to be slower than it was with the stock silencer, is this silencer any good or would I be better off putting the stock one back on? The head pipe is stock, I'm using 9 discs and the quiet core. what should I do?

The stock YZ400F silencer is hard to beat. Yes you can make it quieter, possibly at the loss of power. I have not seen any huge gains with aftermarket pipes on the 400.
