Im thinking about throwing a FMF fatty pipe on my 1989 YZ250 its a fast bike but I want it to be competive with newer bikes and it wont sell in sunny California so im thinking beef it up for now. am i wasting my time or is it worth it

A pipe will likely make your bike more fun to ride but it won't erase 14 years of development.

alex, there are so many bikes around here in socal, that i doubt the pipe will make it easier to sell. if you are keeping the bike, then my best $ would be a big bore kit for a bit more power, but if you are following new bikes your suspension will quickly reach its limits!
