In a few weeks, my father and I will be purchasing a KX 100 for me, and a KX 125 for him. We had them start them up at the dealer, and he does feel they are very loud. So I showed him the FMF website and showed him the FMF "Q" line of mufflers. We think this is a very good idea, but we are posting this question here to get some opinions on the pipe for both the KX 100 and KX 125.

Just how much will this decrease the noise level on each bike? Drastically, or minorly? Along with that, would there be any difference in power loss or gain? Or will it stay the same? And will the bike still have that powerful "ying ying" sound, just quieter, or will it change at all?

Thanks alot guys!

I understand you are looking for specs on a KX but I just had my WR250F tested yesterday. Just thought I would show you the difference the Q made for me.

We rode at a track that requires bike to be under 98db.

The current KX-100's we have tested with the Q's have been in the mid 80 db's , and it seemed to make these bikes much easyer ride.
