Yesterday I was riding on the local mx track and I saw a guy with a KDX. When I was unloading my bike I had noticed his bike sounded unusually loud. Naturally I went over to check out his bike, it was a 96' 200? or 220?. He hadn't had the bike long, but I noticed his silencer was shorter than mine and it didn't have any stickers on it. Well to make a long story short he basically cut the silencer in half. A little past the mounting bracket. I am going to do the same to my bike because I don't like how far out my silencer sticks out. Way past the rear fender. He said it also gave him more bottom end. If anyone is interested I will take pics and write the steps down and post them this weekend.

CB36.... I did the same thing, only with a Pro Circuit and Factory Sound silencer. The thing was just way too long, so I cut off the last 5 inches and replaced the rivets with screws. No more sticker, looks better (see pics in "my Gallery" below) and adds to the low end. Was easy to do.

Good Luck....
